Take Action

Your actions here are what make FMA an effective voice on Capitol Hill. Every time you send an action letter you increase the ability of FMA to be an even more influential organization. Now take a moment to send an Action Letter to your Representatives and Senators. The action letters are pre-filled or you can customize and edit the content. The entire process can take place online and only takes a few minutes of your time. But those few minutes are key to our success in Washington, DC. We need your voice in order to make our collective voice heard loud and clear by our elected leaders.

Hatch Act Refresher

CautionWhat Is It?

The Hatch Act is the 1939 law that regulates the political activities of federal employees and government workers. The legislation prohibits nearly all partisan activity by federal employees including endorsement of candidates, distribution of campaign literature, organization of political activities and holding posts in partisan organizations. Partisan activity is allowed outside of working hours and without the use of government resources. Click here for more detailed information from the U.S. Office of Special Council (OSC) on the Hatch Act.
